Accreditation

Registered with the State of Oregon, Country Christian is a private school for preschool through 12th grade. In addition, Country Christian is fully accredited by Cognia, which guarantees Country Christian High School graduates access to the college or university of their choice, providing all requirements of that institution are met. We voluntarily work with this accrediting body to continually improve our student-learning goals and objectives.

Cognia is the largest community of education professionals in the world. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K through 12 schools and school systems to ensure all learners realize their full potential. While their expertise is grounded in more than a hundred years of school accreditation, Cognia is far from a typical accrediting agency. Their goal is not to certify schools are good enough; instead, their commitment is to improve schools.

The three significant elements to accreditation:

1

Intensive, institution-wide, self-appraisal, analysis, and improvement planning

2

External consultation, review, validation, and insights from a visiting peer group

3

Ongoing accountability for improvement through annual reporting and renewal
